Eureka! Fiber in the Ozarks (Part 2)

Last time I promised a continuation of the awesome Fiber in the Ozarks event that I was blessed to attend. Today I’m going to tell you about one of the vendors at this event: Llama Mama Fibers.

Bags, Bags Everywhere!

As I was strolling through the venue, I passed an exhibit of handmade yarn bags. Large ones. BEAUTIFUL large ones! A few caught my eye, but I was able to resist almost all of them.

Almost.

One bag reached out from the exhibit and grabbed me! It pleaded with me, “Please, please, PLEASE take me home with you! I will hold all of your yarn thingys and knitting needles and other stuff!”

Well, really, what could I do? The fabric of this bag reflected a lovely musical theme. Since I am, by profession, a MUSIC teacher, I mean, how could I refuse this poor, un-owned bag? Created by the ladies at Llama Mama Fibers, it spoke to my head and my heart and my musical & knitting fingers. So, being the kind and compassionate knitter and musician that I am, I rescued this poor, pitiful bag from its meaningless existence and brought the lovely thing home with me…among other items which will be discussed later…maybe.

This beautiful bag measures 14 1/2″ tall, 19″ wide, and a generous depth that you can clearly see holds 4 wound cakes of fingering weight yarn. Pockets surround the interior of the bag, crafted from the same music-themed fabric as the exterior of the bag. I’ve placed some of my circular needles inside, as well as four cakes of yarn that will be on my next project: The Alchemist vest. There is a large button with a loop that securely closes the bag (in the event of an attempted feline invasion, or a two-year-old). The handles are sewn tightly onto the bag from the bottom up, and they are generous enough that a crafter could carry the bag over a shoulder with ease.

This bag easily hold one of the Twice-Sheared Sheep’s Trinity Bags in addition to the other goodies a yarn crafter can need for a project.

You Can Never Have Too Many!

Yarn crafters can never have too many tote bags for their work! You should definitely check out the beautiful hand-crafted bags at Llama Mama Fibers!

The lady on the left is the designer and craftsman of this bag and many others like it. You can find her work at Llama Mamas Fibers .

Happy Knitting!
